Our Love Doesn't Win

If I'm being honest, a lot of times I struggle to answer the question many have about why it's not enough to be a "good person...

It's an unfortunate truth that many people in today's world love others like Jesus does way better than those who actually proclaim to be Christians.  Which is what I believe has swayed our culture to gradually believe the lie that our love and altruistic actions could possibly be enough.  You don't have to necessarily proclaim the Gospel, you just need to love like Jesus does...

I came across an article this week that answered this question in a new light for me.  So simple, eloquent, and true.  (And a bit long, so if you don't have time or get scared away by the seemingly-never-ending scroll, just read the up until the headless snake part.)

So thankful for a love so much larger than my own...

  1. "And you could feel that dust and know that if were the kind of good soil to break open for the otherworldly miracle of seeds coming in on the wind — that revival would rise right up from the dust, spread like love across the land …. like a Cross across the land."
My favorite part was the last line. Dear Jesus, spring up revival from these lands.
    Thank you for sharing.
